Dear Members:

As you know, last month the IAS of Marco Island offered a $1,000 academic scholarship opportunity to students related to an IAS member in good standing, and would be entering a college or university in the fall of 2022.  Our Scholarship Committee did not receive any applications.  Therefore, we are now offering the Dr. Charles J. Pineno Memorial Scholarship to students who are currently enrolled in a GRADUATE PROGRAM, will be attending Graduate School in 2022-23, and are related to an IAS member in good standing.

If you have a student in your family who is currently enrolled in a GRADUATE PROGRAM for 2022-23, please inform them of this opportunity.

Attached is the application

form for download.

Applications should be returned to the Scholarship Committee by May 15, 2022.  Essays will be judged by the Scholarship Committee with the Candidate remaining anonymous until selection is made.  If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact Scholarship Committee Chairperson, Dorrie Madonna at 630-697-1416.

On behalf of the Scholarship Committee and the IAS Board, I wish success and good luck to all the young men and women who apply.  It will be my pleasure to recognize one of our own with this academic award in memory of our esteemed IAS member and educator, Dr. Charles J. Pineno.

Sincerely,

Barbara DeRosa, President

IAS of Marco Island
