Dear Members:

The IAS of Marco Island is once again offering two scholarships in the amount of $1,000. each to relatives of IAS members in good standing. There is the Dr. Charles J. Pineno Memorial Scholarship for a graduating high school student who will be attending a college or university in 2023-24. This scholarship is available due to the generosity of the late Dr. Charles J. Pineno. "Charlie" was a beloved member of the IAS of Marco Island. He was a life long educator and advocate for continuing education past high school. The second scholarship is funded by IAS of Marco Island for a student who has completed undergraduate studies and is moving on to a Graduate program of study in 2023-24. Both applications will be available on the IAS website starting Wednesday,  Feb. 8.   Please inform your eligible relatives (grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc.)  of this opportunity and encourage them to apply.  A copy of each scholarship application is attached for your information.  Please feel free to forward it to your eligible relatives.

I thank our Scholarship Committee, Fred Adani, Gene D'Onofrio, Dolores Fernandez, and Chairperson Dorrie Madonna, for their many hours of work and a great job on the preparation of the applications.

Good luck to all who apply.

Sincerely,

Barbara DeRosa, President

IAS of Marco Island
